At a professional level, I consider it highly important to manage a personal brand that reinforces your presence and gives you visibility in the sector you work in. It's not about vanity or ego; nowadays, it's a necessity, and I believe it will soon become a "commodity."
But what happens when you're aware of this, yet feel that "it's not your thing" to stand up and express your ideas, feelings, and emotions, especially in front of a camera? Just looking at it can mentally block you, and the ideas you usually have so clear simply don't flow.
Today, for the first time, I dared to do it. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and create content for the new platform we're working on, @goodmood.
My friend and partner @paulfrank and I got together, and with a camera, lights, and microphone in hand, we started. We spent more than five hours trying to generate some content, and I must say it was a very challenging experience for me. I made many mistakes, had blank moments, my tongue got twisted, and the final result was not what I had hoped for. It’s frustrating.
It would be easy to say "this isn't for me," leave it behind, and return to my businesses, continuing with my daily routine. But, as a good entrepreneur, all that's left is to take a breath and keep going.
I’ll soon publish that first video (though I admit, I’m a bit embarrassed, haha), but it will serve as a reminder that I did it. Why not? Maybe in a year, I'll look back as a better communicator, and this experience will become a gratifying anecdote that lets me appreciate the journey I've taken.
Let's move forward with faith!
